]]> Hello Everyone!

First of all, Happy Mothers Day to all of you wonderful mothers! I hope you all have a fantastic day :) you all deserve it!  Today I am having a relaxing day with my wonderful host parents in the beautiful country side of Tielt, Belgium. So this is officially my last email from Europe, starting tomorrow you will be receiving my emails from Mexico! We had our last two European shows on Friday and Saturday night, and they went incredibly well. The energy from the audience both nights was amazing and we really went out with a bang, which feels great! I have spent the last three weeks in Belgium, which I have loved. It is such a beautiful country and I have been blessed with amazing host families. My community impact days in Belgium have been very moving for me, and some of my experiences are too hard to write through an email. Last week I went to a refugee asylum, where I spent most of my day speaking with two men from Afghanistan who were about my age, and escaped from their country in fear of losing their lives at the young age of 15. What a humbling experience. This past week I spent some time in a juvenile detention center for girls, where I taught a world dance class. They really seemed to enjoy it, though it was emotionally wrenching to see such young people in such a hard place in their lives. It really makes me appreciate what I have, and makes me that much more grateful every day. I spent a lot of time in Brussels last week, and I was also able to go to the beautiful city of Brugge. Both are such historical magnificent places. I enjoyed every minute of it! I have so many good memories in each place with the cast and with my host families, Europe has been an amazing experience. Tonight we have a giant cast sleep over, because in the morning we take a bus at 4:30am to drive 5 hours to the airport, where we will then get on a plane to MEXICO CITY! I am so excited to start a new adventure again, with new experiences and a new culture. It is so much fun bouncing from place to place soaking in all of our surroundings. I can hardly wait. I hope all is well for every one, and that you are enjoying the wonderful spring weather that I hear New Hampshire is having! I miss you all dearly and I cannot wait to see you in just a short time now! I will let you know how Mexico is!! LOVE TO ALL!

Kristin participated the convention February 16th and 17th in New York City along with SCDC Senior Rebecca Costa and Associate Directors, Kim & Robyne Patent. Kristin was one of  hundreds of other senior level dancers who attended the jazz audition class held by Nick Lazzarini. The scholarship is for attending one of Jump’s summer 2013 dance conventions. Congratulations!

They spent two full days taking intensive workshops with an array of talented teachers including Mandy Moore, Mia Michaels, Nick Lazzarini, Melanie Moore, and Billy Bell. The girls also were able to attend a fabulous performance of “Newsies” on Broadway.

We hope this finds you all in good health! Cast B has now moved on from New England, traveled through Taiwan and is now in the Philippines!

We felt it was important to give you short report on the success of the New England Tour. A few highlights include:

  • Finishing the tour on budget
  • 325 alumni attending receptions from across New England
  • $80,000+ raised for local beneficiaries across Massachusetts
  • 7,800+ hours of community service completed
  • 12,000+ people saw the new Up with People Show: Voices
